Frequently Asked Questions About Verandas North
Didn't find the answer you need?
Our Verandas North team is happy to help. Contact the leasing office for current information about availability, pricing, qualifications, applications, community policies, or resident services.
What is the application fee, and is it refundable?
The application fee is $50. Application fees are nonrefundable once screening begins, except where otherwise required by law or company policy. Please confirm the current amount and refund policy with our leasing team before applying.
What are the move-in fee and security-deposit requirements?
Verandas North requires a standard $500 move-in fee per apartment. An additional security deposit may be required based on application approval and screening results. Applicants who qualify through Liberty Rent may be responsible for additional third-party fees paid directly to Liberty Rent, not the property. All fees and deposit requirements are subject to applicable lease terms and community policies.
What is your pet policy?
Verandas North welcomes your furry friends! Residents may have up to two pets per apartment home. No pet deposit is required, and monthly pet rent is $30 per pet. Breed restrictions and required documentation may apply. Service and assistance animals are not considered pets and are handled under applicable fair housing requirements.
How do I apply?
Select an available apartment home on the Verandas North website and follow the prompts to begin your online application. You may also contact the leasing team for assistance. Please review the rental criteria, required documentation, fees, and apartment availability before submitting your application.
Why do your rental prices have ranges?
Rental rates may vary based on the apartment home, floor plan, location, available features, lease term, move-in date, and current availability. Pricing and specials are subject to change. Please contact our leasing team or view current availability for the most up-to-date pricing.
Which utilities am I responsible for?
Utility responsibilities and billing arrangements may vary by apartment home and lease. Before you apply, our leasing team will provide the current utility details, including which services residents must establish directly and which charges, if any, are billed through the community.
Do I need an appointment? Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome during regular leasing-office hours, but appointments are recommended so our team can give you dedicated time and confirm that the apartment home you want to see is available. Contact the Verandas North leasing team to schedule your personalized tour.
When is rent due, and when are late fees charged?
Your lease states the rent due date, grace period, and when late fees may be assessed. Please review your lease or contact the leasing office for the terms that apply to your household. Residents should submit payment early enough for it to be received by the required deadline.
How can I pay my rent?
Residents may use the payment methods currently offered through the Verandas North resident portal and leasing office. Available payment methods and any processing fees will be displayed before payment is submitted. Contact the leasing office if you need help accessing the portal or confirming an accepted payment method.
If I receive a job transfer, can I end my lease early?
A job transfer does not automatically release a resident from the lease. Contact the leasing office as soon as possible to review your lease, notice requirements, available early-termination options, and any applicable charges. Do not move out or return possession without written instructions from management.
If I receive military deployment or reassignment orders, can I end my lease?
Eligible servicemembers may have lease-termination rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and other applicable laws. Contact the leasing office promptly and provide the required written notice and military orders so the request can be reviewed.
How can I refer a friend?
Contact the leasing office before your friend applies to ask whether a resident-referral program is currently available. If a program is active, the team will explain the eligibility requirements, documentation, timing, and any restrictions. Referral offers may change and are not guaranteed.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
Submit routine maintenance requests through the resident portal or contact the leasing office. Jack, our virtual assistant, may also accept work-order requests by text or phone when available. For an emergency maintenance issue, call the community's emergency maintenance number immediately rather than submitting only an online request.
May someone stay with me temporarily?
Guests must comply with the visitor, occupancy, and unauthorized-resident provisions in your lease. If someone may stay beyond the permitted guest period or intends to live in the apartment, contact the leasing office in advance. Management approval and screening may be required before another person may occupy the home.
What do I need to do before moving out?
Provide written notice within the timeframe and in the manner required by your lease. Contact the leasing office for move-out instructions, your forwarding-address requirements, key-return procedures, final utility responsibilities, and any available inspection information. Notice is not complete until it has been received and accepted as required by the lease.
Which cable and internet services are available?
Service availability and provider options may vary by building and apartment home. Contact the leasing office for current provider information, then confirm service, equipment, installation, pricing, and contract terms directly with the provider.
Can I use a grill on the property?
Grills may be used only where permitted by the lease, community rules, fire code, and local law. Do not use or store a grill on a patio, balcony, walkway, or near a building unless management has specifically designated and approved that location. Contact the leasing office before using any grill.
What should I do if I am locked out?
During regular office hours, contact the Verandas North leasing office for assistance. After hours, follow the community's lockout instructions or contact a licensed locksmith. Identification, proof of residency, and a lockout or locksmith fee may be required. Call 911 if there is an immediate threat to a person or safety emergency.
What should I do if I lose my apartment or mailbox key?
Notify the leasing office promptly. For security reasons, replacement keys, fobs, remotes, or lock changes must follow community procedures, and replacement charges may apply. Mailbox-key replacement may require coordination with the leasing office or the postal service.
